eceptively comfortable, the Ninety Minute Chair balances your body in a relaxed position that’s perfect for reading, watching, or chatting with a friend. Its origins in humble sheet material are lost in a volumetric, sculptural stance. The Chair’s 9 simple pieces interlock with a set of keys that can either be CNC milled or 3D printed. The keys lock the seat and back in place, and add a decorative inlay detail to the chair sides. The Ninety Minute Chair is available on OpenDesk and at the the AtFAB Shop.
he Ninety Minute Chair download file includes toolpaths for a single chair that is comprised of 9 interlocking parts. Mill a single chair from 1½ sheets of 4′x8′x¾” material, or a pair from 3 sheets. The chair requires a set of inlay keys to lock parts into place. Keys are included in the download files to be milled alongside your chair parts. Alternately, they may be 3D printed in colorful ABS plastic. Find the complete key set at AtFAB’s Thingiverse page.
